Stepping Back to Look Ahead: IFAT Munich
Last week, members of the Endurance team headed to IFAT, one of the world’s leading environmental technology expos, in Munich, joining peers from across the European waste and recycling sector.
Attending at the invitation of Dennis Eagle, James Mulligan, Operations Director, alongside other members of the team, spent several days exploring new ideas, reconnecting with industry contacts and meeting new faces from across the sector.
More than anything, it was a valuable opportunity to step outside day-to-day operations and have some really interesting conversations about where the industry is heading, from infrastructure and policy through to the realities of delivering services on the ground.
“It’s always useful to get out and see what’s happening across the wider industry. There’s a lot of innovation, but also a lot of shared challenges,” James told the team, after the trip. “The most valuable part is being able to have open conversations with others facing the same pressures and thinking about how we apply that learning back in the UK.” A worthwhile few days in Munich, with plenty of conversations and insights to take forward
