New Resources to Support Simpler Recycling Readiness

With Simpler Recycling requirements coming into force from 31 March, it’s no surprise that many local authorities and service providers are looking for clarity on what comes next.

We’ve been sharing Simpler Recycling updates here on LinkedIn as they unfold, and most recently highlighted them in January’s Regulatory Roundup. Building on that, it’s encouraging to see Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) working with Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to launch a new Change Network, designed to support the transition to simpler, more consistent recycling in England.

The network aims to bring together practical insight, shared learning and up-to-date guidance – which should prove to be a useful resource for those planning and delivering services on the ground.

For anyone interested, CIWM is hosting a webinar tomorrow (Tuesday, 3 February) at 10am to introduce the Change Network and outline how it can support organisations preparing for the new requirements
