From Horsepower to High-Tech: Highlights from Cart Marking 2025

What a day! Even the Great British weather couldn’t dampen spirits at Saturday’s incredible Cart Marking 2025 event at Guildhall Yard, London, hosted by The Worshipful Company of Carmen

Our Group Sales Director, Stewart Gregory, who is also a member of the Carmen Company, proudly represented Endurance as a Liveryman, parading one of our most advanced vehicles: the Dennis Eagle Elite 2 with Dennis Olympus body and Terberg lift, complete with a custom London-themed wrap – a shining example of the cutting-edge, low-emission technology helping to transform waste management in our cities.

It was positioned in the parade of over 50 vehicles, just behind a beautiful vintage Dennis Phoenix, which really brought the contrast between old and new into sharp focus.

Whilst the weather didn’t help us, it was a fantastic event showcasing some superb vehicles, both old and new, and of various shapes, sizes and applications,” says Stewart. “Obviously, my favourites were the RCVs, but it was also great to take a trip down memory lane with the old haulage trucks – some of which I remember from when my dad worked in the truck industry, and others I actually worked on as an apprentice back in the day!

The day was packed with tradition, innovation and unforgettable moments – including a ride across London in a 1929 double-decker bus (the thrill of which may have slightly gone to Stewart’s head – “We felt like celebrities!”) – followed by a well-earned meal with his wife, Nicole.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so special, and to The Worshipful Company of Carmen for organising an event that so beautifully bridges the past and future of transport.
