Endurance takes a closer look at the Mercedes-Benz Econic range

A big thank you to Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK for hosting the Endurance team for an insightful session on the Econic range.

Yesterday Stewart Gregory and Ian Brown (pictured here outside the Mercedes-Benz HQ), along with Nicky Coyne and Mike Beck, attended the event at Wentworth Park, Barnsley, to learn more about the Euro 6 Diesel Econic and eEconic (EV) variants.

“It was a very informative event that gave my team and me a clear overview of the Mercedes-Benz Econic’s benefits and USPs,” says Stewart Gregory, our Group Sales Director. “The deep dive into the eEconic (EV) was particularly interesting, especially given today’s carbon reduction challenges and recent industry advancements in hydrogen-powered technology.”

The Econic’s emphasis on enhanced safety features, improved fuel efficiency, and increased adaptability really chimes with Endurance’s approach to waste management and seeing the fleet in action during the session was a valuable experience for our team.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK also delivered a presentation on the new General Safety Regulations (GSR2), which are now in effect across Europe. “While GSR2 is not a requirement here in the UK,” says Gregory, “raising awareness among our clients about the safety benefits of this product and GSR2 as a whole is highly valuable – especially when considering future fleet requirements.”

Thanks again to Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK for an interesting and engaging session!

Clearly, such events are crucial opportunities for the Endurance team, so we can support our clients in specifying the most appropriate vehicles for their operational requirements and emissions or budgetary objectives.
